Over a decade, close to 12 years. I wanted to pursue a career in the industry I enjoy the most. Working on other crews before starting my own business allowed me the opportunity to learn multiple methods and gain priceless knowledge/experience. I founded Shotwell Lawn Care 5 years ago.
I put my entire heart and soul into my work, which is visible in the final product. Landscaping is a medium that I can express myself through. It’s not a 9-5 job for me, it’s my whole livelihood. I know the scientific name for every single plant species in our state, native or invasive. I know what will thrive in specific conditions, what is low maintenance, and what to plant for a real show stopper piece. When I’m not working, I’m reading, researching and attending Master Gardner classes or field surveys conducted by the state or BLM/Nat. Forest. There is an endless database stored in my noggin and my favorite thing in life is applying that knowledge on a day to day basis. Your yard wont just look good, it will thrive like never before. My dedication is unmatched.
