Having been a green thumber all his life, Clinton Johns knew that working in the landscaping business was something that he always wanted to do. After working a few jobs and saving enough money to buy his equipment, Clinton started Home Sweet Home Lawn Care. "I have always had a knack for making things look better in the garden so starting my own landscaping business was a great fit for me," Johns says.
Having grown up in the Houston area, he has seen the tremendous growth and prosperity in the community. "Being from the area, I have been able to witness firsthand the growth of the city and the growth of the people," he explains. "Houston is booming and that all trickles down to small business owners like myself."
Home Sweet Home Lawn Care services metro Houston but also mows yards in Atascocita, Humble, Sheldon, Crosby, Spring, Willowbrook, Jersey Village, Pearland and even cuts grass in Aldine, Texas as well.
Clinton has grown his business to over 40 recurring customers and is currently looking to take on additional homeowners and commercial properties.
Johns credits his patience as what has helped grow his business the most. He says, "I take my time and am never in a hurry when I mow. That way I know that I do everything that the homeowner expects and I do it to the best of my ability. When they are there, I will make sure to knock on the door when I am done to see if they would like to walk the property with me. This allows me to sure they are happy or they want to see something different from me next time."
Other than your regular mowing, Clinton can handle your mulching, general cleanups, hedge and shrub pruning, pre-emergent and targeted weed control, fertilization, aeration, sulphur soil amendments, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing.
Being able to work outside every day is what drew him to the industry but being passionate about making things look better is what has kept him in it. "Ever since I can remember, I have always loved being outside." Clinton explains. "Also, being able to work with my hands and leaving properties looking better than when I got there is a feeling that gives me great satisfaction."
