Ben promptly answered the call and came over. He did an evaluation and discovered a cracked chassis and a found loose transaxle pulley. He explained that it would not be worth the cost to repair. Especially a crack in the chassis which could be the main reason the mower may be chewing up belts. It's about time to buy a new mower!!
